Are you intimidated by the idea of making a risotto?

It’s quite understandable… In fact, I remember feeling the same way. I only ever ate risotto at my favorite Italian restaurant. Making risotto at home was quite another matter.

Now it’s comfort food for me. A quick satisfying dish that’s full of flavor. I would not dream of ordering risotto in a restaurant. There are just a few simple ingredients and it’s not difficult

Here’s the secret …

You have to use the right rice

And Get This – Using these 7 golden rules, I make creamy, velvety risotto every time

Risotto is healthy fast food. The Italians have always believed that. Now you can as well. When I am cooking for 2 it makes a super starter or combined with seafood or chicken, risotto can also make a wonderful main course… and in only 20 minutes!

So think about that for a minute… You too can make your own tasty risotto at home just like they do in Italy

All cooks agree; the key to making a genuinely good risotto, one which is all velvety and creamy with just a little bite in the centre of each grain comes from using a short round-grained rice with a high level of starch.

These are my 7 Golden Rules

1. Enhance the flavor by using good pre-heated stock
2. Sweat the shallots and garlic in good quality olive oil
3.Make sure you roll the rice in the oil/shallots before adding any liquid
4.Use a glass of white wine at this point to moisten the rice. Reduce it well
5.DO NOT leave it unattended…Stir every minute or so
6.Then add butter, cream and parmesan cheese
7. Finish with finely chopped herbs

Don’t forget to season with salt and white pepper

OK… So what about that amazingly simple secret? I hear you asking… Which Rice do you buy?

Arborio is good

But

Carnaroli is the best

Do you think you can make your own Super-Tasty Risotto now?…

Yes… Of course you can….
